Our verdict
Editorial opinionOur verdict
The RTX 5090 is about twice as fast (1.8 vs 0.94 TB/s) and has 32 GB instead of 24, but in 2026 it costs roughly three times as much as a used 3090. Two RTX 3090s give you 48 GB for less than one 5090, enough for 70B models. Buy the 5090 for speed in one card; the 3090 for value.
